Don, a third generation builder, started the company in 1990 and ran it from his basement. The company grew because of Don’s dedication to quality and customer service. Since founding the company, Don has built over a thousand new homes in Maine, striving to provide his customers with a simple process to make building a new home easy. He is proud to have had the opportunity to work with his three sons and looks forward to what the future holds for the company.

Mark has been a part of the Fortin team ever since he could pick up a hammer. He started his journey at Fortin Construction working in the field on framing and roofing crews for seven years. In December 2013 he was named Vice President of FCI and now manages the day-to-day operations of the company. He is also the new home and construction salesman, so if you’re looking to build your dream home, Mark is your man. He lives in Auburn with his wife, has a Bachelor’s degree in construction management from the University of Southern Maine, and is recognized as an Associate Constructor by the American Institute of Constructors (AIC).

Rob has been with Fortin Construction since May 1995. Before coming to Fortin, Rob worked in the financial services industry and also co-owned a local downtown restaurant. Rob contracted with Fortin Construction to build his home and came to work for Fortin as an office manager/controller. Rob has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Florida Institute of Technology and is a Notary Public. He is responsible for the financial dealings of the company, including payables/receivables, accounting, and HR. He’ll work with you and your mortgage and title companies for the closing of your new home. Rob still lives in his Fortin-built home in Auburn with his wife and daughters.

Jake has worked for the Fortin Team since 2012.  He is responsible for developing, communicating and implementing schedules involving all on-site construction activities between our clients, employees, and contractors. After construction begins on your new home, he will be your main point of contact on scheduling, materials, and methods. Jake is excited about putting his construction management degree from the University of Southern Maine toward a career with Fortin. Jake lives in Durham in his "Fortin built house" with his fiancé. 

Chris is part of the drafting and design team here at Fortin Construction. He first started with the team in 1996, gaining some framing experience in the summers while working on a building construction degree at Central Maine Technical College. After graduating Chris worked with the interior trim team for six years. For the last 10 years Chris has been working with customers to design their new homes and kitchens through computer aided design. Chris lives in his Fortin-built home in Poland with his wife and daughter.

Cherie is the first person you’ll speak to when you call the office. She is the administrative assistant as well as the sales associate for the flooring, lighting, and appliances supplied through CaMLaS, Inc. Her positive and bubbly attitude always leaves a lasting impression on our clients. Cherie joined the Fortin Construction team in May 2010 after the glass company she managed for seven years closed. She grew up in Lewiston and is now raising two children here in Auburn with her husband.

Ron has been with Fortin Construction for more than a decade. His primary responsibility is to our remodeling customers and serves as remodeling division manager. He solves remodeling issues such as roofing, siding, and windows. With more than 40 years of management, customer service, and sales and 20+ years in the remodeling industry, Ron will manage your project from beginning to end. He is an EPA Certified Lead Renovator and a past member of the National Professional Roofing Advisory Council and has obtained numerous manufacturer certifications. A member of the City of Gardiner Planning Board, Ron lives in his Fortin-built home in Gardiner with his wife.

Bub started with Fortin Construction in 2001 as a new home finish carpenter. In 2004, Fortin Construction became one of the few builders in the state that employs a full-time customer service representative, and Bub was promoted to customer service manager. Bub takes all types of requests new homeowners may have, from problems to advice. Bub has been in the home building industry for over 35 years, working on new construction and remodel projects. His job experience provides him with valuable knowledge in a variety of areas, including foundation, roofing, finish trim, sheetrock, and cabinetry. Bub’s commitment to Fortin Construction includes servicing the new home Fortin recently built for his daughter and her family. Bub is from the Rumford area, where he and his wife still reside.
